Terms and Conditions
- Introduction
The Church car park is private property. Use of the car park is permitted only under these terms and conditions. By paying the applicable fee and using the car park, the user (including any organisation or hirer) agrees to comply with these terms. - Licence to Use
Use of the car park is granted as a temporary licence only. No tenancy or permanent right of use is created. The Church reserves the right to withdraw or amend access at any time. - Charges and Booking
Use of the car park is subject to a fee (currently £40 per day unless otherwise agreed in writing).
- Payment must be made in full by bank transfer at the time of booking.
- Bookings must be made at least 48 hours in advance of the intended date of use.
- Please email acct.stmarysalderley@gmail.com when payment has been made.
- Bookings are not confirmed until payment has been received.
- Use is not permitted unless payment has been received and confirmed.

- Cancellation Policy
Bookings may be cancelled by the user subject to the following conditions:
- Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the booked time will not be eligible for any refund.
- Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the booked time will be eligible for a 50% refund of the fee paid.

The Church reserves the right to cancel a booking where necessary, in which case a full refund will be provided.
- Permitted Use
The car park may only be used:
- for parking associated with approved events or activities;
- during the agreed times;
- within any agreed capacity limits (e.g. maximum number of vehicles).
Overnight parking is strictly prohibited unless pre-agreed due to gates being locked.
Use for general or unauthorised parking is not permitted.
- User Responsibility
The organisation or individual booking the car park is responsible for:
- ensuring all users comply with these terms;
- managing parking in an orderly and safe manner;
- ensuring that use of the car park and associated parking does not cause any obstruction of Church Lane, neighbouring properties, driveways, access points, or the public highway;
- ensuring emergency access is maintained at all times.

- Behaviour and Conduct
The car park must not be used in a way that causes:
- nuisance or disturbance;
- obstruction of the highway, neighbouring access, or any private driveway;
- unsafe or disorderly parking.
- Liability
Use of the car park is at the user’s own risk. The Church accepts no responsibility for:
- loss, theft, or damage to vehicles or contents;
- injury or damage arising from use of the car park, except where caused by negligence.
- Indemnity
The user agrees to indemnify the Church against any claims, losses, or liabilities arising from their use of the car park or the actions of those attending their event. - Compliance with Law
All users must comply with:
- road traffic laws;
- parking regulations;
- any directions given by authorised representatives of the Church.
- Breach of Terms
The Church reserves the right to:
- refuse or withdraw access;
- require vehicles to leave;
- suspend future use
in the event of breach of these terms.
Any obstruction caused as a result of the event will be treated as a material breach of these terms.
No refund will be given where access is withdrawn due to breach.
- Additional Control
The Church reserves the right to require appropriate supervision or parking management (e.g. a parking marshal) for larger events. - Changes to Terms
These terms may be updated from time to time. The latest version will be published on the Church website and will apply to all use and users.
By paying for and using the car park, you confirm acceptance of these terms and conditions.
