Not only did St Mary’s church look resplendent in its autumn glory for the Harvest Festival on 1 October but I had the joy of taking your many kind offerings to the Oasis Centre on Monday 2 October. Tins, packages, potatoes, fruit and marrows – wonderful! Contributions came from both St Mary’s and Birtles churches and were gratefully received at the Centre where they will be used in the kitchen to provide breakfast and lunch each day. They will also be made up into emergency food parcels for needy families and others who receive Crisis Support there.
