Social Zoom Review – 29th June

Back in the land of reality!
Been with the family for 2 weeks to a quiet fishing Village on the Lizard Peninsula. Life goes on there, not much changed in 60 years.!

Had a happy get to-gether yesterday. An eye on the Tennis. Followed by the beginning of the Football. How fantastic was that.Amazing how many older people showed so much interest.!!

One or two updates.

The plans for the lunch on July 20th are gently falling into place.
To be held at the Drum and Monkey.at 12.30.
Parking is good. It will be outside under cover. There are heaters if cold!
People are beginning to let us know if they wish to be present.
We do need an idea of numbers. Do remind your friends.
Please let Maureen 01625 582807. Fiona 01625 585180. Janet 01625 583320
Maureen is in charge of arrangements.

We are still hoping to restart a simple drink and biscuit after morning service.Big but !! We desperately need offers of help. The willing older members of our community who have been committed for years can no longer cope.I have a small list of start up offers.I can organise and help in that way.!.If the help does not materialise it can not happen. This is one good way of reuniting our Parish following the Pandemic.

Lesley tells us Oasis is inviting official helpers to visit the new building on July 13th.
The centre will hopefully open the following week. They can not accept any items until they tell us .
We already have 2 garage loads!! They have been faithfully doing food parcels throughout the Pandemic.

Final Plans for the refurbishment of the village hall, are creeping ahead.
Mainly in the hands of the PC. Many small items still being sorted mainly regarding future arrangements between the PC and the PCC

I heard how much the Family Service was appreciated last Sunday.Thankyou Rachel.
Also thank you to Will who was in charge of the production.

Hope that is everything.

See some of you next week.
